Alcohol restrictions are currently in place in some Indigenous communities that we visit. These restrictions may only affect part of your tour, depending on which tour you are doing.
In 2004 the Queensland Parliament passed a Bill which improves enforcement of liquor laws in restricted areas but also minimises its potential impact on the tourism industry.
Strict conditions apply for any permits granted to tour operators by the Liquor Licensing Division. Such permits specify the dates, type and amount of alcohol allowed in a tour vehicle while in a restricted area.
We ask that you contact Oz Tours Safaris on 1800 079 006 prior to commencing your tour for information about alcohol restrictions that may be applicable to part of your tour.
If you have questions about alcohol restrictions in Indigenous communities, please contact the Alcohol Management Program Information Line on 1300 789 000, or visit www.atsip.qld.gov.au.
