Your holiday home is a roomy, twin-share, dome style tent with sewn-in floor and high density foam mattresses. An important element is group participation whether striking camp, a fireside chat or an early morning bush walk.

Resorts, lodges, hotels and motels in the townships and communities. "No-Frill" cattle station cabins and cabin tent accommodation along the track where no alternatives exist. All are clean and comfortable, the hospitality genuine, open and friendly, and the cuisine generous and appetising.
Generator electricity is in use at some remote areas in Cape York & the Gulf Savannah. Usually turned off between 10:00pm and 7:00am.

Seaview Motel (Cooktown)
Located in the heart of one of Australia's most historically significant townships. The Seaview Motel is situated opposite Captain Cook's landing, overlooking the Endeavour River.

Musgrave Station
A historic fortress telegraph station built in 1887 and is located on the northern access route to Lakefield National Park. The historical building, displayed memorabilia and traveller services, makes this a popular spot to stay or visit.. Rooms are serviced daily. No cooking facilities are provided in-house. Torches supplied for after hours lighting. Share toilet/shower facilities. All meals are provided in the dining area of the main historical homestead. Set tour menus are very whole some and filling. Hot breakfasts included. Accommodation is a furnished donger room with twin beds, towels and linen supplied.

Albatross Bay Resort (Weipa)
Weipa is situated on the shores of Albatross Bay, on the west coast of Cape York Peninsula. The western coast of Cape York, around Weipa, has the world’s largest deposits of Bauxite. The resort is located on the waterfront overlooking the Bay. It features quality air conditioned rooms, a licensed a la carte menu restaurant and bars.

Moreton Telegraph Station (Wenlock River)
Moreton Telegraph Station is situated on the banks of the fast flowing Wenlock River. Accommodation is our new safari camp complex set in light forest near the banks of the river. Twin Share safari tents, fully screened with beds, linen, furniture and 12v lighting. Meals are served in an open undercover dining area.

Punsand Bay Private Reserve
One of the last genuine wilderness areas and also the gateway to the Torres Strait Islands. Punsand Bay Private Reserve is one of the few privately held pieces of land within 150 miles of Cape York. With 10km of private mainly northern facing beaches a magnificent sight is to watch the sun rise over the Coral Sea of the Pacific Ocean and set over the Arafura Sea of the Indian Ocean. Gateway Torres Strait Resort (Horn Island) - A8AO & C10AO tours only
Horn Island, one of the Prince of Wales group, lies in the Torres Strait and is located approximately 25km west-north-west of Cape York Peninsula and a short distance east-south-east of Thursday Island. Horn Island also host the airport for Thursday Island. In 1894 they discovered payable gold and the goldfield encompassed the whole Island (51sq km). In 1942 an airstrip was built on Horn Island as a staging base for fighter aircraft transiting to New Guinea. On 14th March 1942 Horn Island received its first Japanese air raid. Today Horn Island is a important air hub for the outer Torres Strait Islands. The Gateway Torres Strait Resort is located on Horn Island just a few minutes walk from the jetty, beach and local store.

Chillagoe Observatory & Eco Lodge
With its expansive clear, dark skies, you'll wonder at the spectacle of the Milky Way with its multitudes of stars. A fully equipped dome & 2 large telescopes where everyone can take a closer look at planets, nebulas & star clusters. This is fun & educational for all ages. They offer various levels of accommodation, some with ensuites some without. Most rooms are air-conditioned & have been recently refurbished.
Cobbold Gorge
Cobbold Gorge is unique, hidden away within the rugged sandstone formations of North Queensland. This gorge is extremely narrow, closing to a mere two meters wide in places, with spectacular 30 meter cliffs on either side. The overall length of the gorge is about six kilometres and consists of a series of water-holes and rock falls, however only the last 500 meters is accessible by flat bottom boat. Cobbold Village offers an open bush setting giving a feel of warm hospitality while staying in this idyllic location, with a range of accommodation. We use comfortable air-conditioned rooms with ensuites. All rooms have tea/coffee making facilities and include a refrigerator and television.
Undara Lava Lodge
Neither hotel nor resort, Undara Experience is a wilderness experience totally in contrast to today’s modern accommodation. Guests revisit a bygone era with authentic turn-of-the-century railway carriages that have been beautifully restored and now rest under tall shady gum trees alongside an old teamsters trail.
At night, a campfire crackles nearby - after dinner is the perfect time to take part in fireside tales and sing-a-longs. Each morning, you can enjoy a true Aussie breakfast surrounded by the birds and the bush at the Ringers’ Camp.
Restored Railway Carriages: It was in the late ’80’s when Undara Experience founder, Gerry Collins, drove past some old railway carriages on a disused siding adjacent to the Mareeba North Queensland Sale Yards. The idea was born and the turn of the century Queensland railway carriages were lovingly restored to their former glory. They now lie beneath tall, shady gum trees, the very trees this unique style of accommodation was designed to preserve.
Adels Grove
Adels Grove is 200 km southwest of Burketown and 410 km northwest of Cloncurry. Situated on Lawn Hill Creek Adels Grove is adjacent to Lawn Hill National Park and 50kms from the World Heritage listed Riversleigh Fossil deposits. Accommodation in the form of pre-erected tents with single beds, some doubles and all linen including towels.All rooms/tents are share amenities close by.
